2012: La Jamaïque a 50 ans !

L’année 2012 qui s’achève prochainement marquait en effet une grande année pour la Jamaïque. Indépendante depuis 1962 (le 6 août) , la Jamaïque fêtait ainsi le cinquantenaire de son indépendance. (Histoire de la Jamaïque)
De très nombreuses célébrations ont jalonné cette année en Jamaïque mais également dans de nombreux pays du monde où la diaspora jamaïcaine a fêté avec ferveur l’anniversaire de la jeune nation Jamaïcaine.
Le slogan de cette année de célébration était « A nation on a mission » que l’on pourrait traduire par « Une nation vers son destin ». Cette phrase illustre bien que durant ces cinquante premières années d’indépendance, la Jamaïque a parcouru un très beau et parfois difficile chemin mais que la construction et le développement de la nation jamaïcaine n’en est qu’à ses débuts…
Et comme vous pouvez le voir sur cette photo prise lors de mon voyage en Jamaïque en Juin 2012, même une célèbre entreprise française présente en Jamaïque s’était mise aux couleurs de l’évènement.
Alors souhaitons, 50 très belles et joyeuses prochaines années à la Jamaïque !
